T+105 Your prayers are bearing fruit

Thank you, and thank God! Yesterday, I received this word from a mutual friend of my AML pal:

[J]ust talked to Brian.  They are not putting anything into his Aorta.  They are putting something in to get [a] larger dose of antibiotic to fight infection.  Probably will go home sometime
In the next couple of days.  Thank God no heart surgeries!!

And last evening, I received this from Brian himself:

Thanks for the text yesterday. I made it through the night. Love you. Yes it was extremely low BP again. Still haven’t narrowed down the source of the infection. Hope to get moved to 14K soon.

The transplant unit at OHSU is located on floor 14K, so it looks like, while he is not a candidate for a transplant, he may be moved from ICU to a cancer treatment unit. Reading between the lines, I glean that his low blood pressure is apparently the result of an infection.

I don't have any more details, but I want to thank God and those of you who have been praying for Brian and his wife for another one of God's mercies that are new every morning. Jill and I are feeling a good deal of relief that Brian is still with us. He is such a dear friend. I didn't include part of his message, which is a bit off color, but I replied to him:

Oh, I am encouraged! I know you are OK when you crack wise!

It goes without saying that prayers for Brian and his wife are still in order, so if you don't mind, continue lifting them up to God in prayer, please.

The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (James 5:16)

And

 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
    “therefore I will hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)
